Hi! Welcome to our slice of heaven on earth. My name is Peggy and I'm a woman after your own heart. I love to quilt, scrapbook, stamp, basket weave, knit, cook and eat.
Our Gathering Place was once the heart of a five hundred acre dairy farm in west Oakland County. The magnifient barn was constructed in 1865 to store hay for the dairy cattle and continues to be a testament to the creativity of the craftsman of that era. The small yellow carrirage house between our barns was once home for the farms hogs and now is the home for our long arm quilting machine.
You would never guess by looking at this beautiful piece of history that it dates back to the Civil War. Now, almost one hundred and fifty years later we have several shopping centers, movie theathers, scrapbook stores and quilt shops within a short distance. This makes your weekend stay in our country farmhouse a cozy and quiet retreat but with city life nearby.
